***Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team for going 3-0 and
taking first place at the Wildcat Invite on Saturday.
The JV team also had a successful day with a 2-1 record.

***A big shout out to the Student Council for putting together a fantastic afternoon of Homecoming Games on Friday. The final point totals for the games was: 9th grade-48 points, 10th grade-62 points, 11th grade-72 points and 12th grade-80 points! Congrats seniors and great job to everyone who participated. Big kudos to Emma and her games committee for having everything planned and prepared to go on Friday! Thank you for your hard work!
The Student Council should also be recognized for organizing a great dance on Saturday night! Thanks to all who helped with setting up or cleaning up after the dance. A big shout out to Josie for planning the decorations-it looked awesome!
There will be a Student Council meeting during lunch on Friday in Mrs. Brockman's room. All members must attend as we have a lot of topics to discuss and plan.
Today we recognize Indigenous Peoples' Day which honors the past, present, and futures of Native peoples throughout the US. The holiday recognizes the legacy and impact of colonialism on Native communities, and it also celebrates the cultures, contributions, and resilience of contemporary Native peoples.
The Biden Administration issued a proclamation declaring the second Monday of October Indigenous Peoples Day for the second year in 2022. The commemoration of Native American history and culture is now federally recognized alongside Columbus Day, which has been historically observed on the same day.

There are 11 Federally-recognized tribes in Wisconsin
***Also there are three Cities named Stockbridge: Stockbridge Massachusetts,
Stockbridge New York and Stockbridge Wisconsin. All three were initially Mohican Indian villages.
***There will be musical practice Monday, Wednesday
and Friday this week during 9th hour.

credit for fully participating in the game of life. When you stumble, don't let
sideline critics discourage your efforts. Instead, give yourself a pat on the
back for being in the game and not on the sidelines.
