The Ecology class visited Marathon County Waste Management yesterday. It was a great experience that was led by two very informative guides. We were able to see the different parts of the landfill and operations. I think we all came away with a greater knowledge of where our garbage goes and how to better manage it. In class, we are currently discussing energy efficiency and this trip was an important part of our unit so that we could better understand first hand what happens to our waste and how to better dispose of hazardous materials as well. It was a great career exploration activity as both of our guides absolutely love their jobs!

Gresham School has been seeing an uptick in the number of students coming to the office and the number of phone calls from parents regarding the flu. Kyla Heiman, our school nurse, has found this pamphlet to help parents decide what they should do if they think that their child has the flu. Thank you for your help in keeping our school the healthiest that it can be. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1E0Xt-4IvG9WwOjYZ_SEhRYVmKynVoSgo
