***HS Golf (A) vs. Amherst @ 10:00 AM at Glacier Wood Golf Club
***HS Track (A) at Marion @ 3:30 PM
***HS Baseball (H) vs. Marion @ Gresham Riverside Park
***There will be Play Practice after school today until 4:30 and practice during 9th Hour Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week. No practice after school on Wednesday this week because Mrs. Koz has detention. Please make a note of it and let parents know. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Koz. Have a great week!!!
*** Some of the highlights at the High School Track team's Friday's meet at Amherst were Isabella's 2nd in Shot put and Emily's 3rd in Shot put, Bryson's 3rd in the mile and 2nd in the 2 mile. The team pushed through some very challenging weather. Good job to all.
HS Baseball - Gresham defeated NEW Lutheran in a wild game Saturday 18-16. Bryson led the team at the plate going 3-4 with 3 RBI’s. Jordan and Kale each had a hit with three RBI each. Thomas and Robert had a hit with Two RBI’s each Kaiden, Wandbli and Colby also collected hits on the day. Gresham plays Marion tonight at 4:30 at home for a pivotal conference matchup.
***High school prom tickets are available for purchase from Mrs. Osborn from today until Thursday, May 2. Tickets are $10 per person. Anyone who'd like to bring a guest from another school to prom should also pick up a guest form from the office.
***Here are a few words of wisdom:
Have you ever thought about who your role models are? . . . whom you look
up to ?. . . whom do you respect most? . . . who do you want most to be like?
Confucius' ancient Chinese teacher says:
When we see [people] of worth, we should think of
equaling them.
In other words, when we see someone doing good and positive things in
the world, we should think about being as good and positive in our own
special way. Confucius goes on to say:
When we see [people] of contrary character,
we should turn inward and examine ourselves.
He's saying that when we see someone doing things that are against what
we know is good and positive, we should ask ourselves such questions as:
Is that person a good role model for me? Is that someone whom I should
imitate? Is that what's best for me?
Today, take a look at whom you are holding up as a role model. Then
think about what Confucius says and take another look.
