***Student Council will meet Friday the last 20 minutes of 6th hour
***No School next week for Thanksgiving break
***Here are a few words of wisdom:
Listen up! Here's another one of those old-fashioned words we need to
make fashionable again . . . it's the word honor. A person with honor is
honest, truthful, and strives to do the right thing. She has dignity and is
respected by others.
So the question is: Are you an honorable human being? Listen to what
Mencius (MEN shi us), an ancient Chinese philosopher, has to say:
All men have in themselves that which is truly honorable.
In other words, all human beings have within themselves the capacity to be
honorable. All of us are capable of being honest, kind and trustworthy.
Today, think about ways you can become a more honorable person, and
while you're at it, think about ways you can support others in being the
honorable human beings they are meant to be.
