Currently there are 1,000 cases of measles in the U.S. If your child is not vaccinated or only has 1 vaccine; I encourage you to have your child get the measles vaccine. If you have any questions or concerns about the vaccine; please talk with your health care provider.
If your child receives the MMR vaccines or had a Measles titer thru bloodwork stating they are immune to measles; please provide the school nurse with paperwork from the clinic.

Each year the Wisconsin Indian Education Association presents students in the state of Wisconsin with student of the year awards. This spans across many tribes and many districts. Criteria to win such an award is Respect for self, others and the environment ● Personal growth and character ● Academics ● Sound judgment ● Creativity. Cultural knowledge and practice ● And Involvement in community and extracurricular activities. This school year we had a winner from the 2nd grade classroom. This student represents herself, family, school, community, and tribe with the utmost class. She is a shining example for all to follow. She is someone who leads with kindness, learns with curiosity, and lives with a deep respect for her family, culture, and community.
