What a great day at Gresham Community School! Had so much fun during the powwow. I didn’t get many pics. Please share any you may have. A huge shout out to our high school Culture Club, Native American Parent Advisory Committee, Nancy Buettner, Puzzle Hill Roxanne Jeremy Mohawk, Wind Eagle Sugar Shane Webster, the Menominee High School singers and drummers, Harold Katchenago, the Mohican and Menominee Vets, Theresa Carroll, administration Newell Ewers Haffner and Ben Heninger, the school board, our students, and parents, and so many others that made this event happen and great! Chem classes did a mole ratio activity making playdough after figuring out the formula--working through our stoic unit.

Jake Hoffman received the Outstanding Native American High School Student of the Year - grades 8-10 at the WIEA conference banquet on April 27th, 2019.
Jake was nominated by Gresham Community staff for the following criteria:
Respect for self, others and the environment
Personal growth and character
Academics: grade level/developmentally appropriate
Sound judgment
Creativity
Appreciation for work done well by others
Cultural knowledge; practice of traditional ways; tribally enrolled

Talent Show Run through will be Wednesday May 1st at 1:30 in the gym due to the possibility of bad weather for the pow wow. Make sure to have all of your items for the actual talent show, like a dress rehearsal.


Track athletes we are going to be taking team pictures at the Wittenberg meet tomorrow.
