Today the JH and HS Choirs had a real treat. Professor Brandon Torres from Puerto Rico and Dr. Kevin Meidl from Appleton paid the choirs a visit and held a workshop for our young Gresham Singers. The students learned about life in Puerto Rico and learned some valuable singing skills brought to them by Prof. Torres. What a great day to be a Wildcat!!!

Dear Parents and Community members, This morning, Gresham School District was made aware of the rumor of a threat against the school. We started investigating immediately. We informed the Stockbridge-Munsee police department and they responded. The police investigated and concluded that the rumor was false and stemmed from an incident in the Gresham community that was unrelated to the Gresham School District. Gresham School District is committed to keeping the staff, the students, and the community safe. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact me at 715-787-3211 ext 850. Sincerely, Newell E. Haffner District Administrator

The 7th graders have been working very hard on their Topic 4 math projects! The students have the choice of four different projects to complete, and they can choose to work with a partner or individually. Expressive Expressions - For this project, they needed to write and illustrate a children's book called "Expressive Expressions." In the story, there needed to be an unknown value represented with an emoji, and they needed to demonstrate the different ways to generate equivalent expressions involving simplifying, factoring, adding, subtracting, or expanding expressions. Guaranteed Equivalence - In this project, the students needed to write an algebraic expression for a real-world situation. There needed to be at least two variables with coefficients, including once decimal and one fraction. They needed to generate ten expressions that look different from the original expression, but are equivalent to it. The final project included a poster showing all the expressions and how they are equivalent. The Perfect Playground - In this project, the students are given an empty lot with a width of 51.5 feet and a length of 30 feet to develop a new playground. They are allowed to increase the length of the lot by clearing some debis, but this is an unknown amount. They needed to divide the lot into four quadrants and design a piece of playground equipment for each section. The students sketched a design and built a model of their playground. They needed to write algebraic expressions for the areas of each quadrant and the entire lot.
