Sierra Sargent is thrilled to be part of the Gresham School for her first year teaching as the Band Director. Sierra graduated from Sevastopol High in 2017, and just graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with her Bachelor of Music Education this past spring of 2021. While working here in Gresham, she will also be attending UWSP again as a full-time student pursuing her Master of Music degree, and working part time as the Graduate Assistant for the University's Music Department.
Sierra currently lives in Mosinee, WI, with her boyfriend, Stanley, and their adorable cat, Java. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, enjoying the outdoors, enjoying many cups of coffee, and catching up on some of her favorite shows. Sierra is excited to meet all of the students in the Gresham School and to hopefully connect with them to bring some wonderful music performances to the Gresham community this year.

Gresham hosted Rosholt and Gillett in a triangular on Tuesday, August 24.
GRESHAM BEAT ROSHOLT 3-0. Scores were 25-19, 25-20, 25-11.
Leading Stats: Maddie Haffner 27 service points and 5 aces, Hannah Cerveny 23 assists, Valarie Cerveny 14 kills, Lexi-Baddmoccosin-Barnes 7 digs.
GRESHAM BEAT GILLETT 3-0. Scores were 25-14, 25-10, 25-9.
Leading stats: Hannah Cerveny 22 assists, Valarie Cerveny 10 kills, Jessa Jensen 9 kills and 10 service points, Maddie Haffner 7 digs
Coach's notes: Our match vs. Rosholt was a game of runs. We were able to get some comfortable leads, but then struggled at times with turning serve receive into offensive attacks. We were able to get some more consistency on the offensive side in our match against Gillett. I thought all of our players had some excellent stretches throughout the night. It's nice to have some good balance and not have to depend on one or two players to make plays for us. Overall, I am pleased with our performance tonight and we look forward to a tough tournament on Thursday.
Overall Record: 2-0
Conference Record: 0-0
Next Match: Tournament at Three Lakes vs. Mercer, Prentice and Three Lakes on Thursday, August 26. Starts at 1:00 p.m.
Thanks for covering Gresham volleyball! I look forward to sharing our results throughout the season. Let me know if you ever need anything else from me.
